Robert F. Bullock

Robert F. Bullock, 82, husband of Marilyn F. (Garnsey) Bullock, passed away at his home in Silver Spring, MD on Monday, June 19, 2017.

A graveside service will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, town of Cape Vincent on Monday, June 26, at noon. There will be no calling hours or funeral service and arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc.

Bob was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 3, 1934, son of Dallas F. and Florence Steele Bullock. He was an All American Lacrosse player and graduate of Penn State University, receiving his degree in Petroleum Engineering. He served in the US Navy for 5 1/2 years in the late 1950's to 1960's.

On August 22, 1956 he married Clayton native Marilyn F. Garnsey at the Clayton United Methodist Church.

He was the District Manager in the Washington DC and Baltimore, MD area for Prudential Insurance Co. and then was the CFO of Super Salvage Co., Alexandria, VA. His interest in his children's sports was one of his enjoyments; he was a very devoted father and grandfather.

Along with his wife of over 60 years, Marilyn, Bob is survived by his son, David R., TN; three daughters, Barbara L. Bullock, College Park, MD, Cynthia J. Conte and husband, Mark, Orlando, FL, and Linda Jo Gold and husband, Steven, Mt. Airy, MD; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and brother, Richard Bullock, Chicago, IL. He was predeceased by his youngest son, Robert A. "Bobby" Bullock, who passed in 2002.

I met Bob over fifty years ago. I was about twenty years old and a Montgomery County Police Officer. Bob convinced me to come to work for him with Prudential.
It was the best move that I could have made and I owe
all my success in life to Bob Bullock.
