Jane M. Daub

Jane M. Daub, 87, Shady Shores Rd., Clayton passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

At her request, there will be no services held and arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton.

Jane was born in Lyons on November 14, 1929, daughter of William M. and Rose Bailey Matzell. She was a graduate of Oswego High School and from The House of the Good Samaritan School of Nursing, 1951. On June 20, 1953 she married Warren W. Daub at Trinity Episcopal Church. Dr. Daub passed away in 2011.

She was a Registered Nurse at The House of the Good Samaritan and was the office manager for her husband. Jane was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and served on the Haas Committee. She also belonged to the House of the Good Samaritan Twig Auxiliary. Jane enjoyed spending time with her family at her home on the St. Lawrence River.

She is survived by her five children, Steven M. Daub, Clayton, Deborah A. Daub and husband, Donald E. Sychra, GA, Patricia L. Daub, Watertown, Diane E. Daub, FL, and Karen J. Daub and her companion, Richie Dickson, Clayton; two grandchildren, Rachel J. Hall and husband, Travis, and Alison R. Daub-Sychra and husband, Jordan Bowman; her great grandchild, Mackenzie J. Hall; brother, Robert Matzell, VA and sister, Alice Gallagher, Auburn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her husband, Jane was predeceased by her brother, William Matzell.

In lieu of flowers, her family wishes donations in her memory to either Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601 or Clayton Council of Churches Food Pantry, c/o St. Mary's Church, 521 James St., Clayton, NY 13624.
