Arthur G. DeLine, Sr.

Arthur G. DeLine, Sr., 81, of Watertown passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Samaritan Keep Home.

A graveside service will be held at North Watertown Cemetery on Saturday, September 30, at 11AM. There will be no calling hours or funeral service and arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.

Art was born in Watertown on December 6, 1935, son of Arthur G. and Florence Black DeLine and he was educated in local schools. On August 15, 1959 he married Sandra A. Waite at Hope Presbyterian Church and Mrs. DeLine died March 5, 1997.

For 14 years he was a truck driver for Pepsi. He retired as a Journeyman Core Bench Maker from NY Airbrake Foundry after 30 years of service to the company. Art also was a transport bus driver for Samaritan Keep Home and worked at Cape Vincent Fish Hatchery. He very much enjoyed tinkering and sitting on his front porch and in his yard, greeting family and friends with his beloved boxer, Bruno.

He is survived by his three children, Arthur G. DeLine, Jr. and long-time companion, Cindy A. Adams, Watertown, Laura J. Rego, Somerville, MA, and Timothy J. DeLine and wife, Toni R., Watertown; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two brothers, Darwin N. DeLine and wife, Jeanette, Denver, CO and Russell DeLine and wife, Bonnie, Evans Mills; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his wife, Sandra, Art was predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Franklyn D., and Everett E. DeLine, and three sisters, Beverly LaClair, Alberta Westcott, and Rosemary Burnham.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations in his name to SPCA of Jefferson County, 25056 Water St., Watertown, NY 13601. Online condolences to his family may be made at www.cummingsfuneral.com.

Dear Family of Mr. DeLine,
I wanted to send condolences to you as I believe Mr. DeLine must have been quite a man. My father, John C. Smith Sr, worked with him at Pepsi many years ago and would tell so many funny stories about his antics. His passing is a loss here but a wonderful gain in Heaven.
