Elizabeth M. 'Bessie' DeLoshElizabeth M. "Bessie" DeLosh, 94, of Watertown passed away Thursday afternoon, February 8, 2018, in Tamarac FL. She was a warm gentle soul and beautiful light of love to her family and all she met.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, February 16, from 9:30 - 10:30AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church followed by the funeral mass celebrated at 11AM. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery will be in the spring. Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.

Bessie was born in Watertown on September 5, 1923, daughter of Louis and Eunice Nagey Zelecovich. She was a graduate of Watertown High School. On November 1, 1944 she married Donald F. DeLosh at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church with Rev. J. A. Sullivan officiating. Donald passed away September 14, 2008.

She retired from the Jefferson County Probation Dept. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church. Bessie enjoyed sewing, reading, baking, crossword puzzles, but especially spending time with her family. Bessie and her husband, Don, wintered in Sunrise, FL for over 35 years.

She is survived by her four children, Joyce (John) Helm, Jamesville, Lorraine DeLosh, Sunrise, FL, Donald DeLosh, St. Louis, MO, and Stephen DeLosh, Watertown; three grandchildren, Kristy (Shane) Vetter, Derek DeLosh, and Julie McNitt; five great grandsons, Dylan and Luke Vetter, Jaymison DeLosh, and Levi and Lincoln McNitt; three brothers-in-law, Robert DeLosh, Thomas (Nancy) DeLosh, and Mervin Smith.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bessie's name may be made to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 320 W. Lynde St., Watertown, NY 13601. Online condolences to her family may be made at www.cummingsfuneral.com.
