Judith D. Lawrence, 79, formerly of LaFargeville/Omar passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Samaritan Keep Home where she resided for two years.
Judith was born in Alexandria Bay August 1, 1944, daughter of Edson P. and Lorene (Decker) Hall. She was a graduate of LaFargeville High School and attended the Watertown School of Commerce. On October 12, 1963 she married Thomas P. Lawrence at St. Vincent dePaul Church, Rosiere with Rev. Walter Charbonneau officiating. Tom died October 20, 2018.
Judith had worked at several area restaurants and for Pearl's Department Store. She retired from Kennedy Pharmacy as a clerk in 1996 due to health reasons.
She was a former communicant of St. John's Church, LaFargeville. She collected owls and Elvis memorabilia. Judith enjoyed reading, word puzzles, trips to the mountains, and visiting Nashville, TN and Graceland.
She is survived by her two sons, Keith T. and wife Lorie L. and Scott M. and Bonnie L., all of Clayton; three grandchildren, Andrew J., Leanne E. Smith and husband Joe, and Corey W.; 2 step grandsons, Brian and Billy Gokey; 3 step granddaughters; 1 great grandson James P. Smith; brother Floyd Hall, LaFargeville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents and husband, Judith was predeceased by her sister-in-law Suzanne "Sue" Hall.
Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton on Tuesday, April 30, from 4 - 7 PM. A graveside service will be in Omar Cemetery on Wednesday, May 1 at 1 PM.
