The celebration of life for Thomas M. Tinney will take place Saturday, September 23, from 1 - 4 PM at the Clayton Volunteer Fire Department.
Tom, 80, of Grindstone Island and Clayton passed on August 1, 2023. Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc. Clayton and online condolences to his family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s name may be made to the Clayton Volunteer Fire Department, 855 Graves Street or TIERS, PO Box 524 both in Clayton, NY 13624.

He wanted nothing more than to get back to "his island" and enjoy the end of the day.
He amazed me with his in depth knowledge of loons and their habitat. So much, that he built homes for them!
Tom and I spent a number of mornings talking about the stone piles he crushed and where he would place his new asphalt plant.
Most memorable was when he came to Brown Bay with some Grindstone Wines!
