Margaret Elizabeth "Mardie" Young, 54, of Phoenix, AZ passed away unexpectedly August 8, 2023 after sudden heart failure.

She was born October 22, 1966 in Hartford, CT, daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Brett) Young. After graduating from Glastonbury High School, she went on to study political science at Providence College, where she graduated in 1990.

Margaret was smart and funny too. You can honor her memory by letting a dog upon the couch, laughing at something inappropriate, or having someone's back, the way she always did for her friends and family.

Her family will miss her dearly. She is survived by her parents Katherine and Joseph Young, Glendale, AZ and formerly of Watertown; sister Maureen Bachman and husband Paul, Scottsdale, AZ; brother Steve Young, Phoenix, AZ; her cherished dog Bingo; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 19, at Holy Family Church at 10:00 AM followed by burial in Glenwood Cemetery.
