Daniel J. McCarthyDaniel J. McCarthy, 47, of Watertown passed away at his home on Sunday evening, December 11, 2016.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, December 15, at 11AM with Rev. Jonas Tandayu, pastor, presiding and burial will be in the spring in Martinsburg Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.

Daniel was born in Watertown on August 16, 1969, son of John P. and Nancy Kelly McCarthy. He had attended JRC and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.

Along with his parents, of Watertown, he is survived by his two brothers, Matthew J. and Joseph P., both of Watertown, and several cousins. His brother, Michael J., died June 21, 2009.

I don't know if you remember me but I was one of Danny's physical therapists. He was a very sweet guy to work with and I especially enjoyed his playful smile and his "Yeah!" Please know that he touched a lot of hearts and that the memories we hold of him are very happy ones. Wishing you peace. Nancy Aten
