Charlene F.. BurnsCharlene F. Burns, 94, of Watertown passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Samaritan Summit Village.

Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.

She was born in Watertown on January 30, 1924, daughter of Nathan and Flossie Augustus Perrin and she was a 1943 graduate of Watertown High School. On January 12, 1950 she married Claude J. Burns in Watertown and he passed on February 9, 1985. Charlene clerked at several stores, including Fannie Farmer, Empsall's, and Wicks & Sticks. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.

She is survived by her four children, Patricia DeTraglia and husband, Michael, Watertown, Shelia Burns, TX, Richard Burns, Summerfield, FL, and Colleen Burns, Virginia Beach, VA; son-in-law, James Lawlor, Watertown; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter; two sisters, Irene Seery and Joan Deline, both of Watertown; sister-in-law, Bonnie Perrin, Watertown and FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Three children, John and Sheryl Burns and Claudia Lawlor, three brothers, and five sisters died before her.

Memorial donations in her name may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601. Online condolences to Charlene's family may be posted at www.cummingsfuneral.com.

Prayers for Charlenes' family at this difficult time. I had the privilege of taking Holy Communion to her every Thursday. As she always told me see you again alligator.
