Mary Jean C. Marshall

Mary Jean C. Marshall, 92, of Watertown passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019. She was born January 8, 1927 in Watertown, daughter of Floyd McDonald Cummings and Mary Evelyn Clemo Cummings Doyle and graduated from Schenectady High School in 1945. She married K. Duane Marshall on June 17, 1951 and he passed on November 20, 1979. She worked for G. E. a short time while in high school. Mary Jean then went on to work for N. Y. Telephone in Schenectady before returning to Watertown and retiring in 1979 from the telephone company.

She is survived by three daughters, Cathy A. (William) Penney, Watertown, Pamela A. (Gerald) Kostyk, Dexter, and Mary A. Thorigal and fiancee Chris Manning, Watertown; three grandchildren, Julie E. and Andrew T. Thorigal and Jillian E. Boyle; one step-granddaughter, Keitha Kostyk; five great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Tyler Thorigal, Syracuse; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

As per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Burial will be at the family's convenience and arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the American Cancer Society, PO Box 7, E. Syracuse, NY 13057 or Alzheimer's Assoc., 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
